WOREC Nepal, in collaboration with national, regional and international feminists, Women Activists, Women Development Workers, Women Academics is please to announce its call for Applications: Feminist Capacity Building Training for women working in various institutions with interest and passion for women's issue and who have been playing important role in conflict transformation, such as Government, International organizations, Academic institutions, and National organizations.
Feminist Capacity Building Training is a ten weeks with two days per week session training that gathers around 30 vibrant, enthusiastic and committed Women Activists and Campaigner working in various issues related to marginalization, discrimination and feminization of poverty.
It is a space where participants can sharpen their conceptual clarity  and to develop and strengthen understanding of women rights activists working in field to look at women's issues with an intersection of class, caste and gender and building strong bottom up network of women right activists to get the desired change in the current political context of Nepal.

The nature of training will provide participants a package of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This method will help to facilitate ongoing constitution making process by initiating dialogue at community level n issues that needs o be incorporated from women's perspective. As all participants will be moderated and mentored by resource persons, the dialogue will be more political and structured in nature.

The training methodology is interactive as participants are given the
opportunity to be resource persons, trainers, facilitators.
Some of the resources persons will be representative of different women's movement from the national, regional and international level.
Some names include as Dr. Meena Acharya, Kamla Bhasin, Dr. Renu Rajhandari, Mary Jane Real, Yamuna Ghale, Rukmini Rao, Sunila Abeysekera, Rita Thapa, Bimala Rai Paudel,

Who can participate?
Vibrant, enthusiastic and committed Women Activists and Campaigner preferably with experience in "Gender, Development and Conflict Transformation"(not a condition) for more than two years.

What is the required language skill?
The seminar is conducted in both Nepali and English. Non-English speaking women are encouraged to apply. Translators will be provided.

What is expected from participants?

Selected participants are expected to:

* Attend full course training every Saturday and sunday completing 20 sessions;
* Share their experiences and skills as trainers to organize training in the development region;
* Integrate the learning from the training in their course of work;
* Document the best practices of the training by contributing through the publications of this course;

What is the Cost of the Training?
10,000 Rs for the training including materials, stationary and Food ( lunch and Hi tea).
