There are number of evidence to prove facilitation to ensure justice to women with clear effective and appropriate report of medico legal examinatiuon. Doctors working at districts are playing key role on this. In spite of several positive efforts and outcomes there are number of cases where it was very difficult to get justice due to the same reports in genuine cases. There are reports from different districts where negative DNA test has played a negative impact on women in difficult situtations, in spite of the crime commited on her.

Context: Nepal a country emerging from armed conflict and with a strong base of patriarchy and feudalism at its roots, has institutionalized the norm of violence as portrayed in social values, political criminalization and impunity.
Violence against women (VAW) has remained one of the most shocking but least talked about issues that Nepal faces today. This is disturbingly a growing trend in Nepal. According to Anbeshi , there were 1569 cases registered in WOREC alone. Although just a tip of the iceberg, this number is enough to evidence the magnitude of the problem.
