WOREC Nepal organised a national workshop on September 21 in Kathmandu marking the International Peace day with the slogan 'Where is our Dignity'. Several womens from all around the country were present in the workshop to bring in the attention of the leaders to their situation between and after the conflit period with the violences they faced for being women. Voilence affected womens shared their stories which filled up every eyes inside the workshop programs with tears. They once again addressed their stories and pains of loss of their children, husband, relatives and the voilence they faced like rapes, brutal attacks by husbands , armed force and neighbours. So, In front of the top leaders , we have put our issues and 18 points demand paper for the justice and dignity of violence and conflict affected women in Nepal. The leaders made a commitment to address their issues. Hope this time, the commitment expressed by Chairperson of UCPN Maoist Pushpakamal Dahal 'Prachanda', CPN-UML chairpeson–Jhalnath khanal, Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum Chaiperson Upendra Yadav, CPN Samyutka Chaiperson Chandra Dev Joshi, CPNML Secretary General– CP Mainali and and other leaders, will lead to the action for addressing voilence against women.

The theme of peace day of this year is 'Make your Voice heard' .
