Preface

In 2002, WOREC conducted a situational analysis of violence and its impact on youth in Udayapur and Morang districts. One thousand eight hundred sixty-one youth between the ages of 14 and 25 were interviewed individually and sixty-eight focus group discussions were conducted.

In 2001, WOREC carried out a study in five districts of Nepal to provide baseline information for evaluating WOREC’s existing programs, as well as for directing the organizations’ future activities. This report is a reflection of grassroots people’s perceptions and knowledge about migration, trafficking and HIV/AIDS.
