| WOREC believes that the big strength of any
organization is its staff who is the building
blocks to head the organization towards its goal.
So it also focuses in human resource development.
For this WOREC has established Women training
center in 1994 in Udaypur Rajabas. During the
initial days, it had the provision to provide
training to its own staff and staff of the other
organizations mainly on family planning. Later,
WOREC broadened its field to provide the training
in different areas of development field. The
training center is self-sustainable division
of WOREC. Now, the training center has its own
building with training halls, equipment, varieties
of teaching learning materials and hostel for
the participants. Initially, the training center
was limited to Rajabas Udaypur, now it has established
its own training centers in Kathmandu, Janakpur
and Birtanagar. WOREC believes that qualified human resource
is the first prerequisite for implementing any
development program successfully. Training can
be the practical answer to develop human resource.
The community level human resources are lacking
in many areas of community development. Therefore,
community level training center is essential
to fill this gap. Thinking this, WOREC has been
developing and conducting varieties of need based
training for its own staffs and the staff and
members of other organizations on demand as well
as to the community people to develop them as
local trainers to create awareness in the community.
WOREC has been providing training of trainers
(TOT) to the VDC level women's group , youth
group. Few members of such group have been very
active; they are providing the local level training
to the community, which is one of the ways towards
the sustainability.
